A Rant story published Friday about the winning construction bid for Lee County’s new Multi-Sports Complex apparently gave some the impression that the project will only include fields for soccer.
The base bid from Sanford Contractors of $26,817,160, approved by the Lee County Board of Commissioners last week, does include four baseball diamonds, one of which could be used by the Sanford Spinners. The items removed from the original plans in an effort to control costs were “championship” fields for soccer and baseball.
Lee County Government provided The Rant with multiple renderings of the project for clarification. Take a look below.
Hop you guys sell liquor and beer tair. Me love that that true
Hope you guys sell liquor and beer there me love that that true
Of course no softball fields 😉
Is there a difference between a baseball field and a softball field?
no just the athleticism involved. Baseball is a real sport, and softball is not. Relax social justice warriors! It was a joke
A softball field bases are 60 feet apart opposed to 90 feet on a baseball field, also the distance from home plate to outfield fence is typically shorter.
and yet, people still don’t have the concept of what a fucking joke is.
Because it wasn’t funny.
and my point has been proven.
I bet you’re a blast at parties! Ha (Now that’s funny).
still proving my point Thank you for that!
If your point is that you are an idiot, you’ve more than proved it.
