WellCare of North Carolina will host a Block Party event in Sanford on Saturday to to provide comprehensive support and resources to Medicaid beneficiaries, focusing on enhancing their health, well-being, and empowerment. The event will bring together beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and community organizations to offer education on Medicaid Expansion, the Medicaid eligibility renewal process, and essential services designed to improve beneficiary health outcomes.
The event, set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Spring Lane Galleria parking lot at 804 Spring Lane, will include information booths about Medicaid benefits, the Medicaid eligibility renewal process, Medicaid Expansion, and WellCare resources, a children’s corner with activities for kids like educational sessions on nutrition and hygiene, and more.
There will also be a live band, a mobile video game truck, local arts and crafts vendors, a mobile blood drive, free food, and giveaways.
WellCare has served the needs of low-income individuals and families including seniors and disabled individuals through its statewide network of healthcare providers since 2021.
