Six people in total between the ages of 25 and 40 were taken to Central Carolina Hospital for treatment. Two of them were eventually taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for additional treatment.
Police arrested two men in connection with the shooting. 26 year old Sean Dimitrius Matthews is being held without bond on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon into occupied property, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Urbano Garcia-Sanchez, also 26, is being held on $100,000 secured bond for charges of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Both Matthews and Garcia-Sanchez were among those reported injured. Police said the investigation is ongoing and that additional arrests are expected.
