To the surprise of even his friends, Sanford native and The Voice finalist Britton Buchanan performed the National Anthem at Sunday night’s Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers game at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Buchanan posted a 90-second clip of his performance on Twitter Sunday with the comment, “You never know, might just mess around and sing the anthem for 30,000 people.”
Buchanan has lived in Los Angeles since his second-place finish on The VoiceĀ in 2018. He recently wrapped up a stint as the opening act of YouTube sensations Rhett and Link’s national tour (Buchanan is the cousin of Link Neal), and he’s set to perform a show at the famed thehotelcafe in Los Angeles on Oct. 21.
