Voice runner-up Britton Buchanan joined old friends Tuesday Night Music Club at Thursday night‘s Function at the Junction, the first of Downtown Sanford’s summer concert series of the season.
It was Buchanan’s first public appearance since his stellar three-month run on The Voice ended with a second-place finish, and his first since selling out four Temple Theatre concerts within minutes of the tickets going on sale last week. More than 600 people showed up with lawn chairs and picnic blankets on hand for the show, of which Britton was presented as a “special guest.”
Barefoot for much of the show and donning a Grateful Dead T-shirt, Britton took the mic for about 20 percent of the mostly classic rock set, performing songs he did on The Voice “Good Lovin” and “Some Kind of Wonderful,” as well as a few others, “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” and “Into the Mystic.” (video above)

The crowd last night was one of the biggest for a Function at the Junction show in recent memory. Check out our photo gallery below. Click the images for larger versions and feel free to download them and use them. Just please credit The Rant.
