Sanford police have served an outstanding indictment for murder in a January 2020 shooting near downtown Sanford that left a 22-year-old woman dead.

Jadakis Kaesean Tysor, 21, of 506 Pineland Street faces charges of first degree murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He is alleged to have been involved in the shooting death of Diamond Richardson, who died after being struck by gunshots while riding in a car on Simmons Street.

Tysor is at least the seventh suspect arrested in connection with the case. Rayshawn Donaldson and a second suspect who remains unidentified because he was a juvenile at the time were arrested on charges of murder shortly after the incident, and three additional suspects were charged 16 days later. Two of them, Vicente Alvarez and Emrique Lee, were charged with murder, and the third, Jazmine Urrutia, with being an accessory after the fact. In October, police arrested Robert Dwayne Lee on murder charges.

“The (Tysor) indictment we actually got a few months after this incident, but we hadn’t been able to find him since then until now,” said Major Vinnie Frazer of the Sanford Police Department.

Tysor was taken into custody at a home on Lightwood Lane in Sanford, according to police.

Tysor was placed in the Lee County Jail without bond. Donaldson, Alvarez, Robert Lee, and Emrique Lee likewise each remain jailed without bond. Urrutia does not show as a current inmate in the Lee County Jail, and the status of the juvenile remains unknown.
